After sliding roof rack bars, antenna lies more parallel to roofline even though it still rests on the front cross bar.

I took a small angle bracket I had lying around and hammered it flat.
I mounted 3-foot firestik firefly antenna mounted above driver door with a fold-over mount to allow it to be lowered when I pull in the garage. Coax is run down through hole for marker light at the front of the driver side roof rack rail and comes out in driver footwell area. It's hooked up to a Midland 75-822 all-in-one/handheld CB.

I used this discussion forum topic from h2source.com as the basis for this mod. So while I did not break any new ground, I learned a few things not mentioned in the discussion thread concerning what order to tighten up the mounting plate hardware...wait until the end to do that part.
