It has hard points to break windows in an emergency and a cutting blade in the other end to cut through seat belts.

I considered mounting it in various spots in the driver foot well, but it was too intrusive. It either blocked the full motion of the seat or was in the way of my legs.

So I decided not to use the mounting bracket. Instead I velcroed it up inside one of the ceiling console storage compartments that I don't use anyhow since stuff rattles around when you put it up there and bugs me.

Now it's out of the way, but within arm's reach.
